I should note that 1.0.7676 drivers (no modules) for amd64 are available here:

Today I build 2.6.8 modules for sarge, both 1.0.7174 and 1.0.7676 versions. Along with that I built 1.0.7676 for sarge as well.

All can fetched via apt from:
